APPLICATION PROCESS AND FORMS
Thank you for your interest in St. Thomas School. On this page you will find application information and materials that will help guide you through the process. Application materials can be obtained by printing the documents located on the menu at the bottom left side of this page. To receive an application packet by mail, call the admissions office at (425) 454-5880. To apply for admission to St. Thomas School for the 2011-2012 school year, turn in a completed application along with the $60 non-refundable application fee by January 27, 2011. Supporting documents such as student transcripts and teacher recommendations should be received no later than February 4, 2011.
Please use the checklists below to ensure completion of the items specific to the grade level for which you are applying.
ADMISSIONS DATES & DEADLINES
- Open House: Saturday, January 8, 2011 from 10:00 a.m. - 1:00 p.m.
- Tours: Please call Lyn-Felice Calvin at (425) 454-5880 or email Lyn-Felice Calvin to make an appointment for one of the below dates (Parents only). Tours are held from 8:20 a.m. to 10:00 a.m.

- Application deadline: January 27, 2011. Must include non-refundable application fee of $60. If the $60 non-refundable application fee presents a barrier to application, please call the admissions office.
- Financial Aid application deadline: February 4 , 2011.
- Student assessments and parent interviews: Scheduled during January, February and March. Assessment Day for applicants to grades PS-2 through First Grade: February 12, 2011. Appointment times on that day will be set after application is received.
- Decision letters mailed: March 17, 2011.
- Family Response deadline: March 28, 2011.
ADMISSIONS REQUIREMENTS BY GRADE LEVEL
Application to Preschool (2-Day Program, age 27 months by June 1st or 3-Day Program, age 3 by June 1st)
- Application and application fee
- Preschool Parent Questionnaire
- Teacher Recommendation - give form to the current teacher or care giver to complete and submit.
- Parent Interview (scheduled after application is received).
- Half Hour Student Visit (scheduled after complete application is received). This visit is composed of a small group of applicants who visit together for one half hour of play activities.
Application to PrePrimary (age 4 by June 1st)
- Application and application fee
- Preschool Parent Questionnaire
- Teacher Recommendation - give form to the current teacher to complete and submit.
- Parent Interview (scheduled after application is received).
- 45 minute Student Visit (scheduled after complete application is received). This visit is composed of a small group of applicants who visit together for 45 minutes of play activities.
Application to Primary (Kindergarten age children, age 5 by June 1st)
- Application and application fee
- Teacher Recommendation - give form to the current teacher to complete and submit.
- One Hour Student Visit (scheduled after complete application is received). This visit is composed of a small group of applicants who visit together for one hour of assessment activities.
Application to Grades 1-6
- Application and application fee
- Teacher Recommendation - give form to the current teacher to complete and submit.
- Transcripts from the previous 2 years - sign and give the Transcript Request Form to your current school.
- Standardized Test Scores
- Applicants to Grade 1 are invited to visit as a group for two hours on Saturday, February 12, 2011. Appointment time will be scheduled after application is complete.
- Applicants to Grades 2-6 are invited to visit during the school day for a full day. During that time, they will visit in the classroom of their current grade level where they will meet current students, experience the school environment and complete various assessment activities.
