FUNDRAISING
St. Thomas School strives to keep its tuitions affordable, while at the same time providing the very best educational experience possible. We provide high quality facilities and materials and hire the most qualified faculty and administrators available from national and international level candidates. We are able to achieve this through focused fundraising programs.
The school's yearly fundraisers are:
- Annual Fund Drive
Launched in the fall, all constituents are asked to make their pledges or gifts to be fulfilled by July 31st of the following summer. Historically, the school budget has received 20 to 25% of its annual operating funding through donations. These funds come not only from donors' private resources, but also from foundations and matching gifts of our donors' employers. - Auction
In mid-March, parent volunteers organize and host an elegant dinner party that provides the setting for an Auction with a pre-announced funding objective. In past years, the annual dinner party Auction has raised as much as $1,000,000 to benefit the school and its programs. - Walkathon
The St. Thomas School Parents' Association sponsors this event in May. Students solicit pledges that will be fulfilled based on how many laps students complete walking around the athletic field. It is a fun-filled afternoon with a live DJ, tasty refreshments, with parents and teachers joining the students' efforts. The Walkathon supplies the main source of revenue for those activities sponsored by the Parents' Association.
