STS Fun Facts
In August 1970, STS adopted a dress code/uniform policy for all students and the school continued to grow in many ways including curriculum and facilities. STS began its foreign language program – originally French, then Latin, and now Spanish. A physical education program and gym were added. A new library was built and library resources acquired. New facilities were also added to accommodate the expanding preschool program.

- Some cars had turn signals, but most still used hand signals when driving.
- The first test of color television took place.
- Tupperware parties got their start.
- Super Glue was invented.
- The average cost of a new car was $1,500.
