Special Programs
At St. Thomas School, learning does not end with the school day. Special Programs are meant to enrich a student's life by offering different and unique opportunities to collaborate, learn, and grow outside of the classroom. Extra-curricular classes and co-curricular clubs complete the educational experience before and after school.
Extra-curricular Classes
These classes and lessons held during the afternoon are fee-based and instructor led. There are a wide range of activities, including: chess, arts and crafts, cooking, science and engineering, drama, and explorations in foreign language. Private music lessons are offered to encourage students to continue to excel with their instruments or try something new.
Students who participate in extra-curricular classes often take advantage of Extended Day as well, in order to bridge the gap between the times school dismisses, the extra-curricular activity begins, and parents arrive for pick-up.

T.G.I.F.
A unique experience, T.G.I.F. (Thank Goodness It’s Friday) offers a fantastic opportunity for parents to spend a Friday night out and leave their children at St. Thomas School under the supervision of two teachers. The evening includes games, dinner and a movie. If you are a STS parent, be sure to refer to the Special Programs Calendar for these dates as T.G.I.F. fills very quickly!
Co-curricular Clubs
Co-curricular clubs can take place before, during, or after school and normally do not require a fee. However, some clubs require a small registration or materials fee, particularly if the club participates in a local or regional competition. Clubs are an exciting way for students to delve into a particular passion, get to know their friends outside of the classroom, and develop deeper relationships with their teachers. Club options vary from year to year and within the school year, responding to student interest.
