The King of Nubia wants a pyramid. He has heard about how the Pharaohs of Egypt build themselves incredible monuments that allow them to step into the afterlife, and he wants to build one in his own kingdom. Unfortunately, people in Nubia don’t know how to go about building pyramids. So the King of Nubia is going to hire an Egyptian architectural team to design and build a pyramid in his own kingdom.
Each 6th Grade student represented one of several competing Ancient Egyptian architectural firms. During the month of November, the students had to research theories of how the pyramids were built, and then they built scale models with attendant descriptions that clearly captured a series of steps explaining how to build a pyramid.
