Campaign for STS / Partnership Initiative
In 2006, the St. Thomas School Board of Trustees established a transformational vision – one that would ensure an exemplary education for our students and advance STS as a model for others. The Board committed to embark on a $30 Million Capital Campaign that encompassed four major domains:
1) A new building,
2) Partnership with Families,
3) Partnership with Faculty, and
4) Partnership with Community.
Thanks to the incredible generosity of our community, Phases I and II of the Campaign raised $20 Million to build our new, state-of-the-art LEED Gold certified building, completed in the summer of 2007. As architects of our building, STS has won numerous awards for our space. We are proud to share our beautiful campus with visitors from across the United States and around the world.
But truly, it’s what’s inside that is amazing. Over the past four years, we have mirrored the inside of our facility to its amazing exterior. As architects of our program, we have increased enrollment, diversified our student body and families, expanded our curriculum, and continue to attract and retain talented faculty. However, this is not sustainable through tuition alone. On March 7th, The Partnership Initiative - the final $10 Million phase of the campaign - was introduced to our community. This final and most important phase is all about our most valued partnerships – our families, our faculty, and our community. As we move forward, we hope to ensure that all students, current and future, will receive the amazing education they deserve.
