Students will enhance skills in scientific exploration, technology skills, engineering basics, art expression, literacy development, and mathematical understanding (STEAM curriculum) as we explore chemical reactions in the kitchen. Throughout the week, students will engage with stories that highlight STEAM curriculum, while also exploring imagination and creativity.

Using a socially interactive, project-based approach to learning students will:

• Learn what happens when mixing baking soda and vinegar.
• Gather data, and create charts, on how certain foods can go from solid to liquid and liquid to solid.
• Measure and weigh different substances, then create graphs to show “more” and “less” using digital platforms.
• Create edible art and put together some simple menu ideas to share at home.
